Privacy Policy
We use speech only to provide pronunciation feedback and do not sell personal data or use it for advertising.
Voice and pronunciation data
When you request an acoustic assessment, the app captures a short audio sample and sends it over encrypted transport to AccentScore's Railway-hosted API. The API forwards the sample to Microsoft Azure Speech for pronunciation analysis. AccentScore processes the audio in memory for that request and does not write the raw recording to persistent storage.
Data stored on your device
The app stores your selected language, practice dates, lesson identifiers, scores, streaks, onboarding choices, and subscription state locally. A random installation identifier and short-lived API token are kept in secure device storage.
Service providers
- Microsoft Azure Speech processes audio and returns pronunciation measurements.
- Railway hosts the API and temporary quota controls.
- Apple processes App Store purchases and subscription status through StoreKit.
Retention and deletion
Raw audio is not retained by AccentScore after the request. Local practice history can be deleted from the Progress screen. Removing the app deletes its local data, subject to operating-system backup behavior.
Children
AccentScore is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
